Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with the experts that are working on the conflict resolution issues and representatives of the NGOs and summed up the results of one-year work on the post of the State Minister.
During the meeting the State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality talked about the priorities of the Government of Georgia's reconciliation and engagement policy, the steps taken in the framework of this policy, the situation on the occupied territories and the dividing lines.
“It is important to inform the experts and representatives of the non-governmental organizations, involved in the peace process, about our activities. During this meeting we will discuss the situation in the occupied territories of Georgia, the challenges facing our country, the process of occupation and the ways of dealing with it, initiatives and plans of the Georgian government and our Office”, - said Tsikhelashvili.
The meeting was held in the format of an interesting discussion and the State Minister answered the questions of participants.
According to Ketevan Tsikhelashvili, "today the process of occupation is dynamic, it has not creeping, but open face”: “The more successful is our policy, the more resistant is the opposite side. In recent years this progress is obvious. That’s why we ask our partners to make double efforts to continue the trend. And in our activities the role of public diplomacy and civil society is extremely important".
