The First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mr. Petre Kankava visited photo exhibition, reflecting the 2008 Russia-Georgia war. The exhibition opened in the Parliament of Georgia.
"Today we recall the hardest days of 2008 and tribute to the memory of the war victims. These photos, that are reflecting Russian aggression and which are exhibited in the Parliament's yard, are very important for the recent history of Georgia. This photographic material once again reminds us of the toughness of war, the tragedy of people and unity against aggression and occupation. Such tragedies should not repeat anymore and we must take more steps towards peace, reconciliation and confidence building", - said Petre Kankava.
