The First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mr. Petre Kankava met with the representatives of the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM).
At the meeting with the Head of the EUMM in Georgia Eric Hoegh and political adviser Henry Huatent, the current situation in the occupied territories was discussed. Particular attention was paid to such issues, as the human rights and the freedom of movement. Participants also discussed the work of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM), the policy of reconciliation and involvement of Georgia and the role of the EU Monitoring Mission in the implementing projects that will help to restore confidence.
The purpose of the meeting was to deepen cooperation, discuss the needs and difficulties of the population living along the dividing lines.
