The case of the murder of Giga Otkhozoria, illegal of detentions on the so called Administrative Boundary Line, ongoing borderisation near Khurcha – Nabakevi – these themes were discussed during the 51st meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism, (IPRM).

The extradition of Rashid Kandhi-Oghli, who was accused for killing of Giga Otkhozoria in the village of Khurcha on May, 19, 2016, remains one of the main topics.

The next IPRM meeting will take place in Gali on 17 January 2018. 

In February 2009, during the 4th round of the Geneva international talks an agreement on the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) was reached in the direction of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

The main goal of this format is to review daily incidents and ensure quick response.

The Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism, (IPRM), chaired by the UN, with participation of the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM). 

The Central Government of Georgia is presented on The Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism with the representatives of the State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality and the State security service of Georgia.
