The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with British Ambassador to Georgia, Justin McKenzie Smith and introduced him with the new peace initiative "A Step to a Better Future".

The State Minister spoke about the main directions and aims of the initiative. She emphasized those benefits that it’s considering. They also reviewed the specific benefits of the initiative to the people living on the occupied territories.

The guests expressed their support to the State Minister. The participants discussed prospects of the cooperation and planned future steps.

Last week the Government of Georgia presented an initiative which aims an encouraging of trade across the dividing lines, improving humanitarian and social-economic conditions for residents of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region / South Ossetia.
