“I want to congratulate all Muslim citizens of Georgia on the occasion of Holy Ramadan. Hope, this month will be the period of cleanse, peace, joy and well-being for you, your families and our multinational country. Georgia is historically a multiethnic and multi-confessional country – this is our wealth and strength,” – said Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad according to Islamic belief. The month lasts 29–30 days and ends with a three-day Bairam.
