The 86th IPRM meeting takes place in Ergneti

The 86th Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) meeting was held in Ergneti, on 15 May 2018. The Georgian side raised the case of Archil Tutunashvili's tragic death and categorically requested to transfer his internal organs.

Besides, the special attention was paid to the case of Davit Basharuli, who died in uncertain circumstances in the occupied Akhalgori district in 2014.

The participants also discussed so called cases of illegal arrests of citizens of Georgia, the fact of the dismissal of the houses of the two citizens in the occupied territories and the recent incidents in the occupied region and surrounding territories. Overall, 19 questions were discussed during the meeting.

The next IPRM meeting will take place in Ergneti on 7 June 2018.  

In February 2009, during the 4th round of the Geneva international talks an agreement on the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) was reached in the direction of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.     

The main goal of this format is to review daily incidents and ensure quick response.    

The Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism, (IPRM), chaired by the UN, with participation of the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM). The Central Government of Georgia is presented on The Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism with the representatives of the State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality and the State security service of Georgia.
