The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar. At the meeting they discussed a new peace initiative "A Step for a Better Future” and the steps taken within it.
The current situation on the occupied territories also was discussed. The State Minister spoke about the challenges and problems of the population on the both sides of dividing lines and provided guest with detailed information on human rights violations.
During the meeting they also talked about the Geneva International Discussions. Participants emphasized its importance and the necessity of cooperation in this format.
The EU's role as a co-chairman of international negotiations and in a peaceful resolution of conflicts was noted and the future cooperation plans were also set up.
