Information Campaign on State Programs and Services, which was coordinating in Kvemo Kartli by the Office of the State Minister of Georgia on Reconciliation and Civic Equality, finished.
Within the campaign, which started on June 11, 17 meetings were held. Residents of Dmanisi, Bolnisi, Tetritskaro, Tsalka, Gardabani, Marneuli and Rustavi received information about health care, agriculture, social or economic programs. The representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Labor, Health and Social Security and Finance provided them an information on healthcare, agro insurance, customs issues, tax code, "Introduce future", "Young entrepreneur", "Produce in Georgia" and other projects. They were thoroughly informed about each question and received all the answers.
The last meetings of the campaign were held in Marneuli and Gardabani, where the Head of the Civil Integration Division of the Office of the State Minister Eliso Lomidze thanked locals for their interest and involvement in the information campaign and said that the Office of the State Minister is ready to support interesting initiatives from individual municipalities and involve in their implementation.
"Based on the state policy towards ethnic minorities that is coordinated by the Office of the State Ministers, it is extremely important that every citizen of Georgia, regardless of ethnic or religious affiliation, will have access to state programs and services, offered by the state.
"Civil Integration Policy envisages equal and full involvement of citizens in different spheres of life in the country, where awareness campaigns have a great role and importance. We particularly welcome women's involvement in information campaigns, which should eventually lead to more women in political or other spheres.
"One of such an interesting initiatives was based on the requests from the municipalities - in cooperation with the Academy of the Ministry of Finance and Kvemo Kartli municipality we announced competition for women living in Kvemo Kartli region for their economic strengthening. They are taking special training on how to start and engage in business", - said Eliso Lomidze.
Information campaign in Kvemo Kartli was implemented with the initictive of the state attorney-governor and supported by the Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality. Its aim was to improve the awareness of the population of the region about state programs and services.
After Kvemo Kartli information campaign with the coordination of the Office of the State Minister will continue in the Pankisi Gorge, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kakheti regions, coordinated by the Office of the State Minister.
