The 57th meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism was held in Gali on 27 June 2018. 

The Georgian side raised the issue of Giga Otkhozoria who was killed two years ago in the village of Khurcha. This topic appeared to be unacceptable for the Abkhaz side. They demanded to remove this issue from the agenda.

In response, the central government officials explicitly explained that the murder of Giga Otkhozoria will be the primary theme until the offender will be punished. Then the Abkhaz side left the meeting.

It is not known when the next meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism Meetings will held in Gali.
