The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili congratulates the Jews of Georgia on Rosh Hashanah.
"I would like to congratulate distinguished Jewish fellow citizens with this the holiday of Rosh Hashanah – the New Year celebration. I hope this year will be the beginning of novelties and kindness, happiness and success for each one you and for the whole Georgia. I am joining your celebration and say with pride, that our centuries-old friendship is very valuable for us", - said the State Minister.
Rosh Hashanah is Jewish national holiday. According to Torah, on this day God created man, it means the beginning of a new year and the end of the old one. This year the holiday is celebrated in September, 10-11.
