From this point we have full support", - such comment the First Deputy State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality in respond of the EU statement, according to which the European Union expresses strengthening concern about the military presence and trainings that Russia conducts on the occupied regions of Georgia - Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region / South Ossetia.
"This statement contains very important messages. First of all, it is important to note that the EU supports Georgia and its peacekeeping approaches and that there is no alternative to peace. The Georgian Government's new peace initiative "A Step to a Better Future", which has full support, was underlined”.
"It was once again noted that the situation with the human rights on the occupied territories is very difficult. The consequences of such situation are Tatunashvili and Otkhozoria cases, Basharuli issue. These are the cases that the Georgian government is discussing on all international forums. And we will continue to do this until the law is not enforced", - said Lasha Darsalia.
The EU also requires proper investigations of Archil Tutunashvili and Giga Otkhozoria's cases.
