At the Geneva International Discussions GID), Lasha Darsalia met with Andrew Schofer representative of United States, US Ambassador-in-Office Elizabeth Rudd, and other US representatives participating in the GID. 

The main topic of the meeting was Geneva International Discussions. The sides discussed the agenda of the next round and the humanitarian and political issues, current challenges and future prospects and  summarized the outcomes of the previous rounds.

The meeting also focused on the situation in Georgia's occupied territories and the facts of violation of human rights. 

First Deputy State Minister provided the guests with the detailed information about 36-year-old Maia Otinashvili, abducted from the village of Bobnevi and stated that the government is working round the clock to release the detained citizen of Georgia.

The next round of Geneva International Discussions is scheduled for October 9-10.
