An informative meeting about violence against women and in family was held in Ninotsminda

Under auspices of the Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, with the support of Ninotsminda Municipality City Hall and in cooperation with the Legal Aid Service, an informative meeting was held in Ninotsminda to raise awareness about violence in family and state service delivery issues.

It aims to establish zero tolerance in society towards violence against women and in family and raise awareness about the existing state legislation and services regarding the phenomenon, causes and consequences of violence among society.

At the meeting, the country's domestic violence statistics were discussed and it was noted that violence is not only a problem of ethnically compactly populated regions or individual municipalities.

At the end of the meeting, which was attended by the mayor of Ninotsminda municipality, Anivard Mosoyyan, the discussion was held. The representatives of the Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality and the Legal Aid Service answered all the questions exhaustively.

Campaign is being held in the regions populated by ethnic minorities - Kvemo Kartli, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kakheti. presentation was held in Tsalka in July. The informative meetings are being held within the framework of Action Plan 2018-2020 for measures to be taken against violence against women and in family and to protect victims.
