State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with General Lieutenant, Head of the EU Civil Operations Vicenzo Coppola, who visited Georgia on the 10th anniversary of the work of the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia and one of the meetings was held with the State Minister on his initiative.

Vincenzo Coppola was appointed in September and his first official visit was held in Georgia. The meeting was also attended by Eric Hogg, Head of the EUMM in Georgia. The main topic of the conversation was the policy of reconciliation and engagement of the Georgian government.

They discussed the peace initiative "Step for a Better Future" and its implementation. The State Minister reviewed the situation in the villages of the occupied territories and the villages by the dividing line. The guest was introduced with a security and humanitarian standpoint, the facts of human rights violations

They evaluated the cooperation of the State Minister's Office and the EU Monitoring Mission and emphasized the importance of deepening the relationship.
