The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili, together with Giorgi Khojevanishvili, State Representative in Shida Kartli Region, got acquainted with ongoing works of drinking water network in Atotsi village (Kareli municipality).
The state minister was here three weeks ago and met with local population. During the meeting she promised them to solve the problem of water.
The works have already begun. Their total cost is 256 000 GEL. The work will end in 2 months and, as a result, 250 families will receive drinking water.
"We have fulfilled the promise that I gave to the population of Atotsi when the Russian provocation took place here. The village does not have no drinking water and this is a big problem. This problem is left in this village and in few villages located along the dividing line. We are working intensively ion order to solve this vital issue everywhere.
"This is a village, which just faced another Russian provocation - barbed wire fence. Of course, we will stand next to the locals and very soon they will have drinking water. The construction of bore wells started yesterday. The network is already arranged", - said Ketevan Tsikhelashvili and added that the Ministry of Infrastructure and local self-government did their best and started works immediately.
The State Minister also visited the Public School of Atotsi, where she met with teachers and presented books to the school library.
