The Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality initiative in cooperation with legal aid service and Ministry of internal affairs held an information meeting on domestic violence and state services issues in order to raise the awareness of the in population in the village of Iormughanlo, Sagarejo Municipality.

The meeting, which was held in the framework of 16 days campaign against gender violence, was attended by teachers, representatives of municipal service "Women's Room" and local community. The audience was provided with information about women and gender based violence. They also talked about the violence in the country and noted that it is not just a problem of compactly populated regions or ethnic municipalities with ethnic minorities.

During the meeting an active discussion was held. The representatives of the state agencies answered the questions of participants.

Campaign was conducted in the regions populated by ethnic minorities - Kvemo Kartli, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kakheti.
