The State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili, along with the Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze and other members of the Government paid tribute to the memory of former chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, Zhiuli Shartava.
Today is 75 years after the birth of Zhiuli Shartava.
"For all of us, he is a national hero. A symbol of loyalty, self-sacrifice and unbrokenness and the power of conflict’s peaceful resolution by reconciliation. However, we will fulfill the goals and objectives, for which Zhiuli Shartava stayed in Sokhumi until the last minute of his life. His heroism has demonstrated us that we should serve our homeland and do everything we can”, - said Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.
The acting chairperson of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia Vakhtang Kolbaia also paid tribute to Zhiuli Shartava.
