The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili was in Senaki where she expressed her condolences to Irakli Kvaratskhelia's family who died in unexplained circumstances in Gali.
According to the State Minister, the task of each of us is now to determine the real circumstances of Kvaratskhelia's death as quickly as possible.
"We already made some steps for this. It was very important that we had an opportunity to hold the expertise and that they gave us the body. Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau now is making a complex expertise that gives us an opportunity to answer questions. It will be very important for the investigation.
"Our efforts, of course, are not limited to this. During this week the issue already was one of the main topics of discussion with co-chairs. Next week they will be in Moscow and will raise this issue with the Russian side. In particular, all the materials and circumstances that we should have. Among them, as the Abkhaz side mentioned, is the footage that could be vital for the investigation. There are formats, including the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism, where such types of materials are changing and we have had a precedent when the Georgian side was able to see some video footage. We expect the cooperation on this issue. I think that right now it should be the interest of all of us.
"Of course, we will try our best to help Irakli Kvaratskhelia's family. He has a little daughter. We and also the local authorities are ready to help them as much as possible", - said Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.
