The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili assesses the current situation on the Enguri Bridge. According to her, the part of the applicants who were not allowed to cross the dividing line, are already on the territory controlled by the Georgian government.
"Despite many challenges, through various communications channels, at this stage it was possible to move part of them. It was especially important issue during these days. Through different channels we are trying our utmost to remove the limitation.
It has been achieved that university applicants, pensioners and people who need medical care are allowed to cross the bridge. We will continue to work till population receive the opportunity to move freely, because this movement is vital for them.
"I want to tell the entrants, especially those who are not able to cross the Enguri Bridge, that together with the Ministry of Education we are doing everything to provide them the access to the higher education. We are working intensively in order to schedule the exams individually and to find the appropriate form for these applicants. The interests of each of them will be satisfied", - said Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.
