Zviad Zviadadze visited the family of Leila Ovashvili, an IDP from Akhalgori

Zviad Zviadadze, the Head of Department of Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia and Former Autonomous District of South Ossetia of the Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, visited the family of Leila Ovashvili, an IDP from the Akhalgori district of Tserovani. On behalf of the Office of the State Minister, he congratulated Mrs. Ovashvili on Mother’s Day and presented her with symbolic gifts.

Leila Ovashvili has been a teacher for 35 years. Even the best years of her life and the worst tragedy are connected with the occupied Akhalgori.

Until 2009, she worked there, in the public school N2 and taught drawing, labor and fine arts at various times. The 76-year-old teacher received the status of head teacher in 2019 and is currently teaching art at Tserovani Public School N3.

Zviad Zviadadze and Akhalgori district governor Nugzar Tinikashvili thanked the elderly teacher for her faithful service to the homeland and wished her soon to return home.
