More then 60 Gipsy families of Isani District received hygiene items and food products

Deputy Minister of Reconciliation and Civic Equality Lia Gigauri, Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi Ilia Eloshvili and Adviser to the Prime Minister in issues of human rights, Lela Akiashvili provided more then 60 Gipsy families in Gudarekhi Street, Isani district, with food and hygiene items.

The project is carried out by the financial support of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). The parcels will also be distributed in the gipsy settlements of Kutaisi, Poti and Dedoplistskaro municipalities. These baskets will be given to families door to door with the help of local self-governments.

Ilia Eloshvili, Lia Gigauri and Lela Akiashvili, with the involvement of Elene Proshkiani, a representative of the gipsy community, also informed the locals about the rules and requirements for preventing the spread of coronavirus.

According to Lia Gigauri, this process will continue.
