Ketevan Tsikhelashvili held a video meeting with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Georgia Justin McKenzie Smith

Ketevan Tsikhelashvili, the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, held a video meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Georgia Justin McKenzie Smith.

Ketevan Tsikhelashvili briefed the British Ambassador on the steps taken by the state to prevent the spread of coronavirus, the current and planned activities, as well as the measures taken in the direction of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions.

The meeting also was focused on the situation in the occupied territories and along the dividing lines, existing threats and challenges.

The talks also touched upon the importance of UK involvement and ongoing projects in Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region. The long-standing partnership between Britain and Georgia on resolving the conflict was underlined.

Ketevan Tsikhelashvili thanked Justin McKenzie Smith for support. The State Minister and the Ambassador also spoke about future cooperation and prospects.
