„Given the difficult humanitarian and legal situation in the occupied territories, the Georgian government is ready to prepare socio-economic development strategies for Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region within the existed reality and opportunity.

The aim of these strategies will be to support the people living in the occupied territories and to create decent living conditions for them.

Given the limited access to the occupied territories and the fact that the Georgian population living in the Gali and Akhalgori districts is in a particularly difficult situation because of the ethnic discrimination, at an early stage socio-economic development concepts will be created for these two districts”, - said the State Minister.
