The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, Tea Akhvlediani held a meeting with Toivo Klaar, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia.
The parties emphasized the importance of Geneva International Discussions and the need to achieve progress on the agenda issues.
The meeting covered the humanitarian and human rights situation in the occupied regions of Georgia. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of reconciliation and engagement policy and future visions in this regard, which are based on person-centered, status-neutral, and needs-based approaches to conflict-affected populations.
The State Minister emphasized the importance of the EU’s special role and involvement in the process of peaceful resolution of the conflict.
The parties have expressed their readiness to continue close cooperation.
