The Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs of Georgia hosted the reward ceremony of the students who participated into the project "Young Leaders Club." The project "Young Leaders Club" was implemented jointly by the Office of the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality and the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs.
"Together, the Georgian, Armenian and Azerbaijani youngsters have gained experience in statecraft, what are the challenges and how the state meets these challenges. I would like to deliver my thanks to the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs. They did their best not only for this program, but for the work on the issues of ethnic minority representatives as well. We consider these youngsters as pioneers who shall continue civic integration in a country based on civic values," - Mr. Paata Zakareishvili declared.
In his part, the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs stressed the importance of joint efforts for the implementation of the project.
"The Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs always welcomes the development of civil society, friendship of ethnic minorities and their participation into the development of state," -Mr. Tariel Khechikashvili declared.
Participants of the project hope, that such projects will continue in future, involving even more youngsters.
"Georgian, Armenian and Azerbaijani youngsters have convened into this club. Seminars and trainings were organized in frames of the project and we had the meetings at governmental agencies. Some participants were coming from districts, we have introduced problems to them and received information. We like this project very much and we hope that more projects will be running in future and involve the youth," - Mr. Heydar Bayramov, participant of the "Young Leaders Club" declared.
"Young Leaders Club" project was implemented by the Office of the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality and the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, together with the NGO Youth Development Academy. This was a three-month long project, involving 40 youngsters with different ethnic backgrounds, including those enrolled under the 1 4 program scheme. The project provided the possibility to have lectures, seminars and meetings with the members of the Government.
