The next 62nd meeting took place in village Ergneti in frames of Incident Prevention and Reaction Mechanism (IPRM).
Participants of the meeting discussed incidents that occurred within the latest month, also analyzing the report on forensic medical examination of the body of Akhalgori resident Davit Basharuli.
Addressing the participants of the meeting, Georgian side raised the issue of cleaning and operationalization of Tiriponi channel and provided information on current conditions of the channel. Ossetian side expressed willingness to continue work on this issue, after studying and exchanging technical data on the issue concerned.
At the meeting, the Georgian side condemned the incursion of UAV (Unmanned Arial Vehicle) on December 27, 2015 into the airspace controlled by the Central Authorities of Georgia. Problems that emerged for the local population due to the installation of barbed wire fences were discussed as well.
The consecutive 63rd IPRM meeting is scheduled for February 24th in village Ergneti. Georgian side is represented at IPRM by the State Minister’s Office for Reconciliation and Civic Equality and the State Security Agency.
