Under the arrangement of the State Minister’s Office for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, a meeting with the representatives of non-governmental organizations took place at “Rooms Hotel.”
At the meeting, the First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality gave an update on the implemented activities of her office before the SCOs.
“Apart from effectiveness of the Government in peaceful settlement of the conflicts, the public diplomacy is one of the important components. Furthermore, the sensitivity of the subject gives impetus for civil society to implement a number of activities. Our goal is to ensure the transparency of our Office and make sure that NGO representatives are well-informed about our activities; their recommendations are important we well,” – Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili declared.
The First Deputy State Minister emphasized the current developments in the occupied regions, the feedback to the communities living in the vicinity of the dividing lines; planned and implemented activities in frames of the new Civil Integration Strategy.
Mrs. Tsikhelashvili spoke about the recent developments of Geneva International Discussions, with a special emphasis on latest rounds; also about the role and engagement of civil society in peaceful settlement of the conflicts.
The meeting took place under the financial support of the EU Project “Support to the State Minister’s Office for Reconciliation and Civic Equality in the Sphere of Communication.”
