Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili Met with the New Head of UN Development Programmes

The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili has met with Mr. Kurtmola Abdulganiev, the new Head of the UN Development Programmes in the direction of Abkhazia Region.
The State Minister introduced the guest with current situation in the occupied Abkhazia region, focusing on human rights violations, including the restrictions that are imposed on the freedom of movement and education into native language for ethnic-Georgian residents of Gali district.
According to State Minister, the Georgian Government considers the engagement of international partners into the peaceful settlement of the conflict extremely important. In that sense, the CBM (confidence building measures) projects that are implemented by UNDP are equally important.
Mr. Kurtmola Abdulganiev extended his gratitude for cooperation and expressed awareness to continue active cooperation.
