The State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia, Jānis Zlamets.

During the meeting, the State Minister told the Ambassador about the priorities and steps of Georgian government towards the conflicts peaceful resolution. She also provided Jānis Zlamets with the information about the situation in occupied territories. Especially, human rights issues.

Jānis Zlamets also interested in civic integration and ethnic minorities state programs. He underlined the experience of Latvia in these issues.

Ketevan Tsikhelashvili thanked the Ambassador for Latvia's support and cooperation. Parties once again reiterated the readiness for future close cooperation.
