The State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with the representative of the NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for Women, Peace and Security Marriët Schuurman.
The State Minister provided the participants with the information about the situation in the occupied territories of Georgia, main tasks of Georgian peaceful policy and Geneva international discussions. Tsihelashvili emphasized the involvement of women in peace process.
"The involvement of women in the transformation of conflicts, the restoration of confidence and, in general, peace process have particular importance. Therefore, we try our best in order to help and encourage women’s role in this process”, - said Tsikhelashvili.
Participants also discussed the steps that Georgian government have taken in terms of civil integration.
