Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with the trainers of project "Youth for Gender Equality"

The State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with the trainers of project "Youth for Gender Equality"
Together with the State Minister the trainers summed up the first phase of the project on "Domestic Violence". They talked about the trainings held in the regions populated by ethnic minorities, achieved successes and difficulties

Within the framework of the project, mobile team members conducted 70 meetings in 41 villages of 9 municipalities of Kvemo Kartli and Kakheti regions and provided information to 2800 citizens. Young trainers, who took special training, discussed such topics, as gender stereotypes, domestic violence, child abuse, forms of domestic violence, domestic violence causes, referral mechanisms, hotline and state services. These meetings, together with the state language, were also held in the native language of the participants.
