The State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili offered condolences to the British people because of the terrorist attack in Manchester.
"I would like to express my grief over the great tragedy that occurred in Manchester. Many innocent people have become the victims of this violent, merciless act of terrorism... In this very difficult time we support you. We are also united in the fight against violence and terrorism, because only by joint efforts we will achieve the goal that the world will become safer for our children", - wrote Tsikhelashvili in the book of condolences in the embassy of the United Kingdom in Georgia.
On 22 May 2017, a suicide bombing was carried out at Manchester Arena in Manchester, England, following a concert by American singer Ariana Grande. 22 adults and children were killed and 116 were injured, some critically.
According to the Prime Minister of Great Britain Theresa May, "this was among the worst terrorist incidents UK have ever experienced".
