Estonia Recognizes Status Neutral Travel Document

On 12 September, 2012 the Foreign Ministers of Georgia and Estonia signed the "Implementation Protocol between the Governments of Georgia and of Estonia concerning the agreement on readmission of persons residing without authorization between Georgia and the European Union." Under this protocol Estonia has officially recognized the Status Neutral Travel Document.

As noted earlier, the Status Neutral Travel Document and the Status Neutral Identification Document are documents of humanitarian character that enable residents of the Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions to receive social services and to travel abroad freely.

At this point, Status Neutral Travel Document has been recognized by Japan, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, the Slovak Republic, the United States of America, the Republic of Bulgaria, Poland, the State of Israel and Estonia.
