The Ambassador congratulated Mr. Paata Zakareishvili on his appointment as State Minister. On behalf of the Government of Azerbaijan, Azer Huseyn confirmed the support for new government’s policy and readiness for cooperation in issues under the remit of the Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Reintegration.
State Minister underlined the importance of Azerbaijan as a strategic partner and confirmed readiness to continue and deepen cooperation with Azerbaijan in different fields.
Ms. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili, Deputy State Minister also attended the meeting.
In his new capacity as State Minister of Georgia for Reintegration, Mr. Paata Zakareishvili has already held meetings with the ambassadors of different countries and the representatives of international missions. In particular, Paata Zakareishvili met with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Coordinator in Georgia, Head of EU Delegation to Georgia, OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, Ambassadors of Armenia, USA, Great Britain, Switzerland, Netherlands, Israel, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Estonia, Australia, France and Germany as well as the EU Monitoring Mission coordinator and representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
