"The Government of Georgia issued "status neutral travel document" for Abkhazian and Ossetia citizens since 15th of May, 2013 and Romania recognized this document as an eligible travel document for crossing the border" , - is mentioned in the note of the Foreign Minister of Romania, which is dated 24th of April, 2013.

As noted earlier, the Status Neutral Travel Document and the Status Neutral Identification Document are documents of humanitarian character that enable residents of the Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions to receive social services and to travel abroad freely.

At this point, Status Neutral Travel Document has been recognized by Japan, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, the Slovak Republic, the United States of America, the Republic of Bulgaria, Poland, the State of Israel, Estonia and Romania.
