State Minister Meets OSCE Secretary General

At the meeting, Georgia`s security challenges, the situation in the occupied regions and the state of play of the implementation of Georgian government`s Engagement Strategy and its Action Plan were discussed.

As State Minister stated after the meeting, "we discussed in detail the situation in the occupied regions and those important steps which are being taken by the Georgian authorities for the engagement with the people in the Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions. Nowadays, our main goal is enable those residents living there to feel that the development taking place in Georgia is already available to them. They should enjoy the benefits of the healthcare system being developed, more job opportunities being created and Georgia developing as a free and secure country". OSCE Secretary General similarly noted the importance of integration of the residents of the occupied regions with the rest of Georgia.
