According to the resolution adopted by the Government of Georgia, children of 0-5 ages, women from age 60 and men from age 65 holding Georgian citizenship or the Status Neutral Identification Document/Status Neutral Travel Document, are eligible to acquire healthcare insurance voucher.
People living in Abkhazia region can obtain healthcare insurance vouchers in the Office of the Georgian Post in Zugdidi (#16 Rustaveli Street) and those living in Tskhinvali region - in the Office of the Georgian Post in Gori (#15 Stalin Street).
Presenting of a Georgian ID or Status Neutral ID/Status Neutral Travel Document is sufficient to receive a healthcare insurance voucher. In case of 0-5 year old children, an insurance contract is concluded by child’s parent or a legal guardian upon presenting Georgian ID or Status Neutral ID/Status Neutral Travel Document together with a birth certificate of a child.
An insurance voucher covers the following medical expenses: emergency medical service and medical transportation; planned and emergency outpatient care; clinical-laboratory tests; issuance of medical certificates and prescriptions; planned and emergency inpatient care; planned surgery - within annual limit of 15 000 GEL; cancer treatment and diagnosis - within annual limit of 15 000 GEL; childbirth expenses; medicines.
