The First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mr. Petre Kankava met with teachers of Pankisi Gorge School within the framework of the seminar "NATO - Choice for Peaceful and Stable Development".
During the meeting with teachers Kankava talked about the importance of Euro-Atlantic integration, civic engagement policy and the integration of ethnic minorities. He reviewed the steps, which were taken in order to support the promotion of education, sports and youth, healthy lifestyle and tourism potential of Pankisi Gorge.
The two-day seminar for teachers "NATO-Choice for Peaceful and Stable Development" was opened on July 20 for. Teachers from Pankisi Gorge and Tbilisi are participating in the meeting. The seminar was opened by Georgian Defense Minister Levan Izoria, Director of Information Center on NATO and EU Nino Bolkvadze and the Head of NATO Liaison Office William Lahue.
Within two days teachers will meet experts, representatives of governmental structures, NATO and diplomatic corps.
Two-day workshop cycle is organized by the Information Center on NATO and the European Union and is supported by the NATO Liaison Office already for the fifth year.
