The First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mr. Petre Kankava met with the Regional Director of The Halo Trust Nick Smart and Program Manager Irakli Chitanava.

During the meeting participants discussed the Halo Trust's activities in the Abkhazian region, which are directed on the removal of ammunition and light weapons. The sides also talked about ongoing projects and future plans.

The First Deputy State Minister noted that living in a safe environment in the occupied regions is one of the priority issues and thanked the organization's representatives for close cooperation.
