Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with the Head of the EU Monitoring Mission

The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with the Head of the EU Monitoring Mission Erik Høeg and provided him with the information about peace and engagement policy of the country.

The State Minister introduced the guests with the steps that Georgia has undertaken within the framework of the peace policy and provided information on future activities.

She also reviewed the situation on the occupied territories of Georgia – Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region - the difficulties and challenges to deal with which citizens have on both sides of the dividing line. Tsikhelashvili also talked about the facts of human rights violations.

The participants also touched upon the activities and importance of the EU Monitoring Mission. The sides talked about the prospects of functional cooperation and planned future steps.
