We want this project to be continued in the future and I promise you to support you personally ", - such announcement the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili made on the meeting with the participants of the project" Youth for Gender Equality".
Within the framework of the project, which was implemented by the Office of State Minister in cooperation with UN Association of Georgia, volunteers - educators held about 200 meetings in 66 villages in 5 regions (15 municipalities) on domestic violence and early marriages, attended by 6300 beneficiaries.
Meetings with the ethnic minorities were held in three regions - Kvemo Kartli, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kakheti. The youth met with students, teachers, parents, community leaders and different target groups.
It should be mentioned that meetings were held in the state language, and if necessary, the native language of ethnic minorities was used as an auxiliary language. The relevant materials were prepared and disseminated in the languages of ethnic minorities.
