Lasha Darsalia met with Pankisi youth

The First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Lasha Darsalia met with Pankisi youth. He introduced the pupils of the different villages about the work of the Office of the State Minister, talked about the programs that are being implemented to facilitate the integration process. Darsalia also answered on their questions.

As the First Deputy State Minister said, the meeting was fruitful. Young people focused on educational programs and challenges in this regard.

"Children were mainly interested in education and economic opportunities and asked questions in this direction. They were interested in educational programs that exist in this region, and socio-economic development. We talked about various state programs and introduced our future plans", - said Lasha Darsalia.

Meka Khangoshvili, the Advisor of the Office of the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, spoke about the importance of exchange of active communication and ideas in the process of integration. According to her, young people raised many interesting initiatives.

"The Pankisi Regional Development Program operates in the valley, which is engaged in the integration process of local youth. Various projects are implemented - mainly in the field of education - and this meeting was held within the framework of one of these programs. In this group were not only representatives of Pankisi, but also Pshavi children, living in the Gorge, and pupils from the village of Matani in Pankisi.

"Meeting at the State Minister's Office was held at their request. I think that such visits are very important in terms of integration. This meeting was very interesting for me. Children had questions about education and this is very encouraging. They also expressed their initiatives for further activation of the integration process. I'm really glad that young people think about it and have such good initiatives. In terms of integration, they will be a very good examples for other children", - said Meka Khangoshvili.

Giorgi Mokverashvili, 11th grade student of the village of Sakobiano's school: "I am very satisfied with the meeting because I have received useful information. I asked questions about education because I'm going to enter the university in the future. I hope, such meetings will continue, young people will learn lots of useful things. Such visits are very good for promoting the integration process".
