The State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili congratulates the Muslims of Georgia on the occasion of Ramazan.
“I want to congratulate all Muslim citizens of Georgia on the occasion of Holy Ramadan. Hope, this month will be the period of cleanse, peace, joy and well-being for you, your families and our multinational country. Georgia is historically a multiethnic and multi-confessional country – this is our wealth and strength,” – said Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad according to Islamic belief. The month lasts 29–30 days and ends with a three-day Bairam.
