At the plenary sitting of the Parliament of Georgia, the legislators unanimously supported the package of amendments related to the new peace initiative "Step for a Better Future" with the second hearing. The First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Lasha Darsalia introduced amendments to the MPs on reconciliation and civic equality.
Before the plenary session, the legislative amendments for a second time were discussed at the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee. The session was held in question-answer mode.
The First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality thanked the MPs for interesting questions and support.
"We will have amendments in the law “On the Procedure for Registering Citizens of Georgia and Aliens Residing in Georgia, for Issuing Identity (Residence) Cards and Passports of a Citizen of Georgia”. The legislators positively met the amendments. The Parliament of Georgia expressed support for the peace initiative. We also received supporting statements from the parliamentary minority. This is very important", - said Lasha Darsalia.
The third hearing of the new peace initiative "A Step for a Better Future" will be held in the Georgian Parliament in the nearest future.
