Information campaign on state programs started in Kvemo Kartli, Kakheti and Samtskhe-Javakheti regions

In the administration of the State attorney-governor of Kvemo Kartli was held a presentation of the informational campaign planned in the regions compactly populated by ethnic minorities, which will be implemented with the coordination of the Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality.

This information campaign should raise the awareness of the region's population on state programs and services. Its purpose is to educate each citizen in the language that he understands about the benefits and opportunities offered by the state in different directions.

Information campaign will start on June 11 in Gardabani and Marneuli municipalities where the society will be introduced to agriculture projects. On June 13, Dmanisi and Bolnisi municipalities will be involved in it. In the framework of the campaign, population of Dmanisi, Bolnisi, Tsalka, Gardabani, Marneuli and Rustavi will receive comprehensive information about health care, agriculture, social or economic program.

The First Deputy State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Lasha Darsalia thanked the State Attorney-Governor of Kvemo Kartli for engagement and said that the special plan to be elaborated in order to give the representatives of the ethnic minorities living in the country the opportunity of equal and full participation in the life of the country.

"The lack of state language knowledge is a significant barrier that impedes the process of civil integration. In these conditions, the State should provide citizens with information in their understandable language, which is envisaged both in state policy and in our activities.

"In the beginning of the year we held a large-scale information campaign on the benefit of the European and Euro-Atlantic integration process in close cooperation with the local governor. As well as domestic violence and early marriages. Now we will provide information about the state services and programs, "- said Lasha Darsalia.

The event was also attended by State attorney - governor Grigol Nemsadze, Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Solomon Pavliashvili, First Deputy Minister of Labor, Health and Social Affairs Zaza Bokhua, Representative of Public Defender's Office in Kvemo Kartli Region Mariam Gvdiani, NGO and media representatives. The meeting was held in the discussion mode. Representatives of NGOs expressed their opinions and received comprehensive answers to the questions.

This informational campaign is carried by the administration of the State attorney-governor of Kvemo Kartli and the Office of State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality.

After Kvemo Kartli, the information campaign will be actively continued in the Pankisi Gorge, in Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kakheti regions, coordinated by the Office of the State Minister.
