The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili opened in the village of Jokola the informational campaign that begins in Kakheti region with the coordination of the State Minister's Office.
The information campaign envisages maximal awareness of the population of the region on state programs and services. Its purpose is to get information about the benefits and opportunities available to each citizen in different directions. In the next two weeks, residents of Pankisi, Telavi, Lagodekhi, Kvareli and Sagarejo municipality will receive information about health care, agriculture, social and economic programs.
In particular, they will receive detail information about agro insurance and health care programs. As well as about such projects, as "Introduce the future", "Young entrepreneur", "Produce in Georgia" and so on. They will have the opportunity to receive answers directly from the representatives Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Environmental Protection and the Ministry of Agriculture, Labor, Health and Social Affairs.
The State Minister welcomed the members of the Council of Elders, members of the Council of Women and the audience and thanked them for participation and engagement.
According to her, for the self-government of the region and for the country in general it is important to have an informed citizen, regardless of ethnic or religious affiliation, which will be equally able to benefit from various services, programs or opportunities.
"Civil integration policy is based on equality. Integration is impossible without the equality of each citizen. Equality necessarily involves equal terms and initial opportunities to enable each citizen to engage in all aspects of the country's life. And the involvement starts from the awareness. That's why we have come together with representatives of various ministries to provide the population with information about the benefits and opportunities offered by the State", - said Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.
The State Minister reviewed the projects planned and implemented by the Government in the Pankisi Gorge, stressing on the importance of tourism development in the valley. She also talked about the availability of quality education and future plans for strengthening the intercultural dialogue.
"A strong region means a strong country – this is the vision of the Government of Georgia. Each region, including this gorge, has the unique potential of development", - said Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.
The opening speech also delivered the State Representative – Governor Irakli Kadagishvili, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Lia Gigauri, the Deputy Minister of Labor, Health and Social Affairs Tamila Barkalaia, the Deputy Minister of Environment and Agriculture Minister Solomon Pacliashvili and the project manager of the program "Produce in Georgia" Helen Babunashvili. The discussion was held at the end of the meeting.
The information campaign organized by the Office of State Minister of Georgia was already held in Kvemo Kartli region. Later it will be held in Samtskhe-Javakheti. Information campaign is conducted within the framework of the State strategy of civil equality and integration.
