Lasha Darsalia met with the Deputy Head of UNDP in Georgia Munkhtuya Altangerel

The First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Lasha Darsalia met the Deputy Head of UNDP in Georgia Munkhtuya Altangerel, Manager of the Agricultural Development Program (ENPARD) in the Abkhazian region Federika Dispenza and the Head of the project "Horizons" Kumar Sriniva.

During the introductory meeting Deputy State Minister informed the guests about the situation in the occupied territories, reviewed the situation of the population living in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region, human rights violations, other challenges and difficulties.

Discussions focused on the policy of reconciliation and engagement of the Government of Georgia and the new peace initiative "A Step for a Better Future". Reconciliation and confidence building process and the importance of international organizations in this regard was emphasized.

They discussed the progress of the Agriculture Development Program (ENPARD) in the Abkhazian region and the project "Horizons" and the activities planned within them. The necessity of implementation of these projects and achieving concrete results was noted. The sides also emphasized the importance of close cooperation and active coordination with the Office of the State Minister.
