Ketevan Tsikhelashvili - "The State's efforts are directed towards that such facts do not occur at all."

9 October 2018
‘’To achieve this outcome was the main goal of the last days and 24 hour working regime’’ –this statement was made by the State Minister of Georgia for reconciliation and civic equality Keteval Tsikhelashvili regarding releasing maia otanashvili, in the village of Bobnevi, at Otinashvili’s family, where she was accompanied by Tamta Goguadze, the representative of the State Security Service Analytical Department.

Sportsmen were also present at otinashvili’s family, who were also involved in the process of release.

According to Keteval Tsikhelashvili, the main task of the last days - the release the lady and the mother's return to the childrenis achieved, however, the work continues to achieve another major goal – elimination of such facts.

"I would like to emphasize once again that our apparatus and absolutely all relevant structures mobilized all the mechanisms at the disposal of the competence - formal, informal and by all this unity today we have the result. In any such unlawful and unfiar, the main thing we are working on is that people are released safe and as soon as possible.

However, the efforts of the state are directed towards that such facts, that are absolutely deprived of the legal framework and humanitarian principles do not occur at all, "the State Minister said.

According to her, illegal detentions and prevention of such facts are one of the main topics discussed at the Geneva International Discussions, of which next round is held today.

‘’ These days information regarding a number of other restrictions were reported. Including the so-called Increase of fines, on the complicity of agricultural products and one of the Russian sources of information on the detained persons was published. It is noteworthy what I have repeatedly pointed out to the absurdity of this policy. Most people in occupied territories  have been detained and not allowed to move around in a controlled area, rather than vice versa. That is, even Russian sources confirm that much more people living in the occupied territories are affected by the politics of wire fences, who want and need to move to the rest of Georgia. This is measure taken against the people. Our task in negotiations and in any other format is to support people to move around easier ", noted Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.
