Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with the EU Ambassador

An introductory meeting was held between State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili and EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartser. 

The State Minister informed the guest about apparatus activity. She talked about the existing situation in the occupied regions, in details reviwed human rights violations, challenges with regards of humanitarian and security issues.

Discussions also touched upon the policy of reconciliation and engagement of the Government in a peaceful resolution of the conflict. Discussed a new peace initiative "a step towards a better future" and all the benefits of what it considers for the people living in the  occupied territories. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili informed the Ambassador about the ongoing and planned activities in the framework of the initiative. They talked about the ways and perspectives of implementing the peace plan.

They also discussed bilateral relations and cooperation between Georgia and the European Union. Emphasized the role and importance of EU involvement in the peaceful resolution of the conflict.

The State Minister thanked the guest for support and coordinated cooperation. At the end of the meeting, the sides discussed possibilities of further deepening of relations and wished each other success.
